Fixing Facial & Skin Blemishes in Photoshop
Very often when taking portraits or 'people pictures' you'll run across someone who will want you to fix the blemishes on their skin. Small blemishes like a mole or small scar can be easily fixed using the clone or healing tool (photoshop). If you need help using the clone tool, see our Photoshop Quick Tips #1 - Cloning for Beginners.
Other skin issues such as burn scars, acne or acne scars, skin discolourations such as sunburn and birthmarks, and large areas of problem skin can take a little more work, but it can be done. If you've never done this before, then it will take some practice and patience, but it can be a worthwhile effort, particularly if the photo is a loved one.
These samples )above) show you a before and after image. The tutorial takes you from start to finish, step-by-step using photos and text to give you a good start on this technique.
