As a photographer and digital artist, I always strive to look for the different or unique - and when I can't find what I need, I go to work and create it. These textures are the result of my search for suitable textures for a variety of purposes - sometimes collage, sometimes 3D work, and sometimes as backgrounds for photography work. My hope is that you'll find them useful too. If you are looking to try out creating some of your own texture files, start with some of these and manipulate them into something different by using one of these textures or backgrounds and adding your own touches or creative process - from one free texture you could turn out three or four files for your own use. Make your own portrait backgrounds, use them for book or cd covers, create business cards or scrapbooking papers - be creative and have fun.

Good textures for game creation or 3D rendering programs can be found in this section. Be sure to check the full size images for downloading. Many are photographic textures, and quite a few are textures created using photoshop. Don't forgret to check the stock photos section and the .png section too - you may find more interesting textures and bits and pieces for your work in those sections.
