Buildings; some stand the test of time, while others are abandoned to the weather. Some are pretty to look, others are just ugly. Some are utilitarian, others are practical, and some are flamboyantly impractical, but … every single building was created to serve a purpose. Long after the purpose no longer exists, some of the buildings do, and they are often put to other uses. Like an old outhouse, turned into a rural schoolbus shelter, or an old dismantled house whose upper floors were put to use as a farm shed; homes turned into museums and shops. As long as there has been civilized humans, there have been buildings in one form or another.
